How to cut an audio file

Choose your audio file. Its waveform appears.
Drag across the waveform to choose the part to keep, or type the start and end times. Press Play to listen to just that part.
Choose whether to keep the selection or remove it, add a short fade if you like, and press Cut.

How long should a ringtone be?

About 20–30 seconds. iPhones accept ringtones up to 40 seconds, and most Android phones accept any length.

Why is the file bigger than the original?

WAV files are not compressed. Choose MP3 for a small file.

Can I cut the sound from a video?

Use Video to MP3 to get the sound first, or Video Trimmer to cut the video itself.
