How to use text to speech

  1. Paste or type your text.
  2. Choose a voice. The list depends on your device: Windows, Android, iPhone and Mac each have their own voices, and many include Indian English and Hindi.
  3. Press Read aloud. Each word is highlighted as it's spoken.
Can I download the speech as an MP3?

Browsers don't allow web pages to save their built-in voices as a file. To keep a recording, play it and record it with your device's screen or sound recorder.

There's no Hindi voice in the list.

Add one in your device settings: on Windows, Settings › Time & language › Speech; on Android, Settings › Text-to-speech; on iPhone, Settings › Accessibility › Spoken Content › Voices. Then reload this page.
