How to compress a PDF

Pick a level, or choose Target size and type the limit from your form, for example 200 KB.

What is the difference between the levels?

Light repacks the file without changing how it looks, so text stays selectable, but it often saves only a little. Medium, Strong and Target size redraw each page as an image, which shrinks scans a lot. Text in the result can't be selected or searched.

The file didn't get smaller

Text-only PDFs made on a computer are often already small. Try Strong, or keep the original.
