How to change audio speed

Choose your audio, or a video to use its sound.
Move the slider. Press Play to hear it at the new speed.
Press Save.

Why does the voice sound higher when sped up?

This tool changes speed the way a record player does, so the pitch moves with the speed. That's how "sped up" and "slowed" song versions are made. A small change, like 1.25×, still sounds natural for speech.

How long will the new file be?

The length is divided by the speed. A 60-minute lecture at 1.5× becomes 40 minutes.
